The 137th China Import and Export Fair (the “Canton Fair”) was grandly opened in Guangzhou on April 15. GREE, with the theme of “GREE Innovation, Green Life”, held two major technical presentations, showcasing the latest innovation achievements of Chinese manufacturing to global customers. Professional visitors from all over the world showed great interest in GREE’s cutting-edge technologies.

Ultra-high-speed compressor G-Storm
Traditional compressors often have to decrease the energy efficiency to ensure heating performance in cold regions, leading to significant waste. After six years of research and development, GREE has independently developed a multi-adaptive wide-frequency efficient rotary compressor with a maximum frequency of 200Hz, and the unit can run at a maximum frequency of 160Hz, breaking through the maximum operating limit of only 140Hz. Thanks to this ultra-high-speed compressor technology, it not only effectively reduces the compressor displacement but also solves the problem of insufficient heating capacity under low temperature.

Currently, this technology has been successfully applied to high-end wall-mounted units such as the Airy series. In practical applications, air conditioners equipped with G-Storm compressor have achieved a breakthrough performance of continuous heating for 10 hours without defrosting. The farthest air supply distance is up to 15.5m. By matching with the upgraded G-AI 2.0 intelligent control system, the overall operational efficiency has been improved by up to 25% compared to the previous generation!

Gentle Air Comfort Technology
Most users encounter the following issues when using central air conditioners: When the unit is cooling, direct cold air can easily cause discomfort (headaches, colds, etc.); when the unit is heating, hot air rises, and the temperature near the floor is low, and it also causes discomfort. Test results show that after 3 hours of heating, the temperature at the upper part of the room is 30℃, while the temperature around the feet is only 14℃. A large amount of heat gathers in the upper part of the room, leading to significant waste of heat. When the unit is cooling, the cold air sinks too quickly and direct cold air blow will cause discomfort.
For solving these problems, GREE innovatively developed the new central air conditioner with Gentle Air Comfort technology, which boasts 154 domestic patents and 29 international patents. When the unit is cooling, the cold air is delivered from the top to avoid direct airflow; when the unit is heating, the warm air is delivered from bottom up, thus enhancing comfort and energy efficiency. Its core technology adopts a combination of static and dynamic volute casing design. Through the smart rotation of the dynamic volute casing, the system can achieve synchronous switching of supply and return airflows, creatively realizing bidirectional airflow. According to the test, under the ambient temperature of 5℃, the duct-type unit can raise the room temperature to 23.5℃ in 36 minutes. Compared with the conventional duct-type unit, the temperature rising speed is improved by 53.7% and the energy consumption is decreased by 42.7%.
For solving the problem of direct cold airflow, GREE has developed a self-adaptive control technology for the air deflector. This technology can intelligently adjust the fan speed and airflow angle, achieving self-adaptive airflow under different fan speed conditions, ultimately realizing an ultra-long airflow distance up to 6m, bringing users an extreme experience.
Change life with technologies. GREE will always uphold the philosophy of “Technology Leads Development, Quality Improves Life”, creating better life for global consumers with innovative technologies and outstanding products.
